About

I am a Licensed Psychotherapist practicing in Westchester County and online through video sessions. I have a graduate degree in Social Work from Fordham University where I focused on clinical practice. Afterward, I obtained postgraduate training in Psychodynamic Clinical Practice at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies in New York City. Most recently, I completed Fluence’s Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy training program.

Prior to opening my private practice, I gained experience working in a number of settings: mental health clinic, substance abuse treatment center, school, supportive housing, medical hospital and psychiatric hospital.

As a result, my clinical practice is informed by working with a wide variety of people. I make it a priority to see my clients as whole people, not just a list of symptoms or behaviors from a textbook. That means considering every aspect of my client’s identity - culture, socioeconomic status, race, gender, sexuality, religion/spirituality, etc.

I work with adults 18 and over on a variety of issues including:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Trauma

  • Marital and relationship issues

  • Family and peer conflicts

  • Professional and scholastic struggles

  • Stress

  • Self esteem

Now that I’ve search engine optimized this section of my website, I’m going to invite you to throw out all of those terms and look at therapy from a different perspective. Terms like ‘depression’, ‘anxiety’ and ‘trauma’ can be useful and informative but are also limited. They are not descriptive terms that convey what the real problem is; that is, they do not describe a person’s actual lived struggles or problems.

Here is a list of phrases that, in my experience, speak to why people actually come to therapy:

  • I'm afraid that I'm becoming just like my mother/father

  • I keep having the same problems in life over and over again

  • There’s a voice inside my head that is constantly criticizing me

  • I have no idea what to do with my life

  • Everyone is always asking how I feel about things, but I usually don’t feel anything at all

  • There are parts of myself that I’m ashamed of and, in spite of my best efforts, I can’t always hide them from others

  • If I’m not working or thinking about work, I’m not sure what to do with myself

  • I can’t make connections with people and I don’t know why

  • The only emotion I learned to express was anger

  • I don’t have anyone I can really talk to
